Unexpected Shifts
Have Hidden Gifts - Here are April's Highlights
 Lately,
it seems change can come from nowhere, and in an instant, catapult us
into an unexpected shift. Witnessing my own change work, while
assisting others through their own transitions, I can attest to these
tumultuous times challenging just about everyone to transcend personal
and collective edges toward new beginnings. If we are willing to meet
those edges, often tattered and torn, and confront the truth of them,
gifts can emerge from deep beneath them. It's important to consciously
ride the mystery of change, for these are the times each of us is
pressed to find what matters most.
Feb Workshop
Launched a NW Community of Gestalt Practitioners
 It
has been over a month since Cyndy Sheldon MSW offered The Magic and
Sacred in Gestalt Therapy training in an open office suite in my
building in Bellevue. The very large empty space was graced by 23
practitioners from as far away as Texas and Pennsylvania, tuning into
the experiential constructs of Gestalt Therapy. A new NW support
network of Gestalt practitioners has formed. Cyndy plans to offer this
successful workshop again. In the meantime, if you would like to
connect to the current group, please me.

Conversations of the Crane (Seattle, WA, 12-4 PM)
 A
group of practitioners and transpersonal explorers meets for self
development at Seattle Healing Arts, Sat. April 10, 12-4 PM. They will
explore personal transformation through the lens of personal myth,
dream and ongoing group consciousness work. The next meeting focuses
on Meeting Your Inner Shaman. It is open to those who not only wish to
explore consciousness and transformation from the inside out but are
willing to commit responsibly and safely to an ongoing group.

Women (Bellevue, WA, 7-9 PM)
Eastside midlife women
in transition want to meet together to creatively explore “What do I
want to do when I grow up?” If you know any women in career or life
transition seeking a support group to lean meaningfully into the
mature stage of life, artfully weaving strands of the past into a
fabric of the future, please let her know about this new community
group. The group plans to meet regularly, once a month in Bellevue.

(4/21/10-6/23/10) Manifest Your Mythic Destiny; Transforming Personal
Mythology and Awakening Your Inner Shaman (Bellevue, WA 6-9 PM)
 Are
you a practitioner who wishes to enrich your life path by engaging
consciousness and expressive work? If so, you will also learn skills
of transpersonal psychology and can earn up to 20 continuing education
credits (CECs) by embarking in this deep work. Alternately, you might
be a spiritual seeker or in the midst of change and want an advanced
group support. Whether you are health practitioner or a student of
consciousness, take the journey into your self, based on a linear
curriculum but facilitated with experiential work. This 10 week
experiential process group, sponsored by The Association For
Humanistic Psychology is well worth the expense. Registration requires

Transformation, Consciousness, and Healing Review (Seattle, 12-4 PM)
 A
new monthly meeting begins where we focus on the work of one practitioner.
We will explore, experience and express so we can practice this work for our own healing and with others. This May 1 meeting at Seattle Healing Arts will present and work through a video

Members of this
community have received James O'Dea several times since 2004,
first as IONS President and recently as a Fellow of The Institute
of Noetic Sciences (IONS). You have been a part of many changes
with us. And now James has written about a creative way to handle
transition in his new book: Creative Stress: A Path for Evolving
Souls Living through Personal and Planetary Upheaval. Many of you
have supported the workshops produced in this community, and
therefore might like to know how to order the book. He welcomes
reviews.

Changes to Personal Mythology Workshop September 2010
We are postponing Dr.
Stanley Krippner's Personal Mythology event 9/17/09 in Seattle due to
a conflict. Since many of you have taken his last 5 workshops with me,
you may want to have input into how and when the next NW workshop with
him happens later this year or early next. If so, please contact Susan
Burns immediately. And please note that you are welcome to join
Conversations of the Crane meeting monthly and the online group for
graduates of previous workshops. And I am taking registrations for my
10 week Manifest Your Mythic Destiny; Transforming Personal Mythology
and Awakening Your Inner Shaman group as above.
