( 2/20/10) Explore and
Revitalize Gestalt Work in the Northwest
Gestalt
therapy work, founded in the 1940’s by Fritz and Laura Perls, became a
major existential therapeutic approach in The Human Potential Movement
of the 60’s. Interactive individual and group exercises are carefully
facilitated to help participants shift perspectives and dissolve
barriers to wholeness. Gestalt therapy continues to focus on personal
growth rather than illness and encourages awareness, creativity,
contact and aliveness.
Journey into heart of Gestalt on Saturday, 2/20, 2010 with Cyndy Sheldon MSW, a trainer and founder of the original
Gestalt Institute of San Francisco. She shares the history of this movement
and the experiential methodology, and compares other popular
transpersonal models of self development. Though many licensed healing
professionals are excited to join for this work, (7 CECS for nurses,
social workers, licensed counselors), everyone is welcome. Learn more
about the work and register for the workshop (Sat. 2/20/10; Bellevue;
$95, $85 for AHP members) at this link.

Personal Mythology News Update

(3/13) Conversations of
The Crane – Seattle
The
Personal Mythology and Dream Work weekend workshops recently
facilitated by Dr. Stanley Krippner have sparked interest in
continuing to explore the subtler personal work and concepts foundational to living into new personal myths. The crane is a perfect
symbol for this intuitional work of new beginnings. It is known for
its ability to sense patterns and invisible undercurrents.
Conversations of the Crane is a meeting space for those who feel
called to work with transformation, myth and dreams. It is not necessary to have taken
previous workshops with Dr. Krippner, though helpful. We will have
books available. NOTE: A previous conflict has created a reschedule to
3/13/10, 10 AM-noon in Seattle at Seattle Healing Arts, 6300 Ninth Ave
NE, Seattle, WA 98115. Follow the link below for more
details.

What Matters Most: Living a More Considered Life
with James Hollis
Two Programs - Register for both programs separately...approved for up
to 7/0 CECs.
CG Jung Society Lecture: Friday, March 5, 2010, 7 to 9 p.m.
Trinity Parish Church, 8th and James, Seattle (Directions)
$20 members, $30 nonmembers. Note: Register for Friday and Saturday
separately.
Apart
from friends, family, and good work, what matters most in our lives?
What values lead us to a freer, larger life, a more considered course?
Together we will examine the crippling role fear management systems
play in our choices, why we are called to chose ambiguity over
familiarity, why the world is driven by verbs not nouns, how life is
most meaningful in the face of mortality, and how genuine spirituality
is a journey not an arrival. A more considered life asks more of us
than may be comfortable, but we are rewarded with a more interesting
story.
Register
at Brown Paper Tickets.
Workshop:
Saturday, March 6, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Trinity Parish Church, 8th and James, Seattle
$50 members, $70 nonmembers
Together we will
consider the paradoxes that we encounter in the conduct of our brief
transit on this earth. Leading a more conscious life brings us to
choices which either enlarge or diminish. Our time together will bring
a more considered reflectivity to our daily lives. Each person should
bring pad and pen for personal reflection.
Register at
Brown Paper Tickets.
